RadheWe did a podcast with the guys from a startup in Los Angeles, and the conversation was a bit different than I would expect. The guys are in LA for 3-and-a-half weeks, and they are in the midst of moving to New York. When asked if they’re going to stay in LA at least a few more days, they said that they are, but they will spend a few nights in LA before they head back.
That’s cool. I would have assumed they would have been in LA more, but they were a bit vague on what they were doing and whether they were going to be in LA for a few more days. So, I guess that’s something to keep in mind if you’re in a similar situation.
So they are probably going to be on a “honeymoon” vacation in LA for a few days before they head back east.
I personally would have expected them to be in LA longer, but I guess it doesn’t really matter. They are going back to LA anyway since they are now working on the game and they want to take it seriously.
I’m going to stay away from any spoilers here. I won’t spoil it if it’s not something people are going to be talking about.
The game is set to launch on PSN and Steam, and although not yet in our hands, we are working on getting the game onto Xbox 360 as well. It should be out by the end of the year. I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say our goal is to make the game better, not just a better game.
Hopefully. We’re working hard to make the game better than it was already, to better than the original, and to make it better than the first Deathloop. Our goal is to make Deathloop as entertaining as possible. We hope that by the end of the year, it will be better than the first one, and more like the first one, than the last one. This is our goal, and it is a tall one.
In the meantime we’d like to thank reddit in general for all of its help. A lot of the ideas that came out of there helped us put the game together, and we’re so thankful to the reddit community for all of its help.
As an example of reddit’s ability to help us make something fun for the player, they made a “deadly games” game. This was one of the first games out there using the r/gaming sub, and was the first time I saw a gameplay video of a game that got me excited in a way that I’ve never seen before. And just to make it even better, they made a “death simulator” game that you would see on the internet.
Reddit can play an important role in a good game, the game in which the game would have been made if someone hadn’t taken their time to look for help. Just look at the reddit community. They go out of their way to make things fun for their players, and I hope that they continue to do so in Deathloop.
