The key point here is that when you create a column pivot chart for your Excel file, you can go through all the chart members and make adjustments so that they fit the column pivot chart. For instance, when editing the chart, you can insert a clustered-column-pivot-scatter-chart, which will give you a table of data and the pivot point, and you can click to add columns to it, and the pivot point will be added to the table.

I had no idea how to insert the pivot point to the table of data that the clustered column chart is based on, so I had to play with the pivot point a bit to figure out how it works. Once I figured that out I was able to insert the pivot point to the table of data in Excel.
The pivot point is what looks like the top of my head – the top left corner of my head. It’s a piece of paper, one that I can easily see what I’m looking at. I’m going to say that it’s possible to insert a clustered pivot chart into an excel spreadsheet. However, I am not going to go into the details, and I am not going to say that it is possible. So for now we’re going to just do a quick-n-dirty demo of how to insert a clustered pivot chart into an excel spreadsheet.
By clustering the pivot table, you are basically creating a new column in your pivot table that is set to be the same size as the other columns. This will give you a chance to do some advanced formatting of the data you are graphing. You can also use this technique to create a pivot table that automatically groups together each category in a pivot table.
I don’t recommend this technique because it is essentially a hack to change every column in a pivot table into a row in excel. But it can be a useful way to do some advanced formatting.
